Last week, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.’s New York Fashion Week brawl caught the attention of fans everywhere. Of course, everyone has an opinion of what went down. Now, one celebrity has offered her take on all the drama and it’s clear she isn’t a fan of Nicki Minaj.
According to The Jasmine Brand, Vivica Fox is not here for Nicki Minaj – at all. When Vivica stopped by Sway in the Morning, she wasted no time blastin’ Nicki and she even went a step further, labeling the Pink Friday rapper for adding fuel to the fire.
When Vivica Fox was asked about the incident, she immediately sounded off on Nicki, revealing what she believes happened between the two rappers.
“I do believe that Nicki knows how to push people’s buttons and she does it very passive aggressively. And when she does that, it’s like, you keep on poking the bear and sooner or later the bear is going to react. When you’re poking the bear, that’s passive aggressive.
“When the bear attacks, then all of a sudden you retreat. I just feel, in my honest opinion, that her behavior is passive aggressive. Everybody knows that Cardi is reactive, right? We’ve seen that on the reality shows. She don’t take none. She will throw that shoe at you and most of the time it connects.”
Shortly after the epic brawl, Nicki Minaj’s team quickly got to work doin’ damage control to protect her brand. According to Entertainment Tonight, on Monday, September 10, Nicki opted to address the incident. The famed rapper shared her reaction to all the drama and denied saying anything about Cardi B.’s daughter. As expected, Nicki took the high road in an effort to smooth things over.
“The other night I was a part of something so mortifying, so humiliating to go through in front of upper echelon people — it’s not about black or white — people who have their lives together,” she said. “I was mortified … I could not believe how humiliated I felt …. how we — and I use the term ‘we’ loosely — made ourselves look.”
“I would never discuss anyone’s child,” she continued. “It’s so sad for someone to pin that on me. I would never talk about anyone’s child or parenting, I don’t give a sh**. It’s so crazy to me that people always need to make Onika the bad guy. If you’re right in whatever you’re doing, you don’t ever have to make someone into the bad guy.”
As far Cardi B., she decided to go a totally different route.
On Cardi B.:
Despite the unfavorable reports about their behavior at the prestigious fashion week event, Cardi B. has made her sentiments quite clear. She’s not remorseful at all. She’s makin’ no apologies for what happened. Vivica Fox also touched on that. In a nutshell, Vivica thinks Cardi still has some growin’ to do.
“She’s gotta make better decisions,” Fox offered. “She cannot mess up her brand. She can not allow Nicki to help her mess up her brand. She’s moving to a different level. The higher you go, the thinner the air gets.”
