Nicki Minaj Responds To Tracy Chapman’s Copyright Infringement Lawsuit
Back in October 2018, an old-school, singer-songwriter, Tracy Chapman, filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj for copyright infringement.
Chapman claimed the rapper’s song titled “Sorry” featuring Nas used samples of her 1988 single “Baby Can I Hold You” without permission.
According to HopHopDX, “Sorry” was supposed to be on Nicki’s new album Queen, but when she was unable to clear the sample from Chapman, she left it out.
However, sources said the song was later leaked to New York DJ Funkmaster Flex and he played the song on Hot 97 radio.
Now, Chapman wants her coins.
