Grandma Doesn’t Play: 79-year-old Protects Herself Against Man Breaking Into Her Home
ATLANTA, GEORGIA — When it comes to the security of her home, 79-year-old Gwendolyn Agard doesn’t play any games.
While she was alone in her home on the morning of Tuesday, February 12, a man tried to break in through the door but was unsuccessful.
Authorities said he finally entered the home after breaking a back window.
Agard warned the stranger what she would do if he came in there, but he ignored her.
What she did next caused the burglar to fear for his life and hide in the closet, hoping the police would rescue him.
Jackson County has identified the suspect as Hans E. Rogers, a 20-year-old from the Powder Springs area.
He is now in custody and facing multiple charges.
