‘No Comment,’ Lithuanian Reporter Asks LiAngelo Ball Out On A Date During Their First Press Conference

When the Big Baller Brand arrived in Lithuania, they were met with much fanfare and a media frenzy at the airport. Many of the local sports fans are excited that LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have signed on to play for the Prienai Vytautas basketball team. But during their first press conference, one reporter couldn’t contain her enthusiasm for LiAngelo and asked him out on a date.

Flanked by LaMelo and father LaVar Ball, founder and CEO of the Big Baller Brand, LiAngelo was questioned by Evelina Pavliukovic of LNK’s KK2. According to The Bleacher Report, she told the 19-year-old that she liked him and asked him if he would go out on a date with her. LiAngelo was caught completely off guard as the room burst into laughter.

“I just came here to play,” LiAngelo replied before joining in on the chuckling.

But his answer wasn’t enough for the not-so-secret admirer. She challenged him to answer the question. LiAngelo responded with a “no comment” and kept it moving. And with that, LaMelo slid down in his chair while LaVar looked on, amused.

The brothers are keeping to a tight schedule including practices, workouts, and press. LiAngelo and LaMelo are set to suit up for their first official game since turning pro on Jan. 13. But LaVar also partnered on a deal where the Prienai Vytautas team will play in the Big Baller Brand Challenge. ESPN‘s Jeff Goodman describes the Challenge as “a series of five ‘friendly’ games intended to get the brothers extensive playing time.”

The Lithuanian team will face off against squads with talent in the high school to college age range. The first game of this series will be played on Jan.9 and all five games will be broadcast on Facebook. The venture will reportedly earn $100,000 for the team plus earnings from Facebook for the rights to air it.

“This is a great thing for everybody,” LaVar said. “I’m excited for the fact that they named something after the Big Baller Brand. Brings exposure exposure to our brand and also gives us quality basketball. People back home get to watch it.”

So it sounds like the boys will be quite busy in the coming days. Pavliukovic is going to have to take a number if she wants a shot with LiAngelo.
