Largest Black-Owned Bank In The U.S. Launches Awareness Driven Debit Card, ‘Justice’

Posted On : 10/16/2018

The largest Black-owned bank in America – OneUnited Bank – has released the empowering Justice Visa ATM/ Debit Card.

They Want To Bring Immigration Awareness

The Debit/ATM card features a beautiful young Black woman, proudly wearing her locs, as she raises her fist in solidarity. The card was designed by prominent muralist Addonis Parker.

His aim was to bring awareness to the Trump Administration’s immigration policies. The President’s strong stance against immigration has affected many African nations – including  Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad and Barbados.

Although the current government may claim that many immigrants are either “rapists” or “taking jobs from Americans,” the reality is very different.  In fact, a recent internal study by the Department of Health and Human Services, found that immigrants brought in $63 billion more in government revenues than they cost the government.

Furthermore a recent report by the National Foundation for American Policy stated that, “immigrants have started more than half (44 of 87) of America’s startup companies valued at $1 billion dollars or more.”

They Support Social Issues

OneUnited Bank began almost 50 years ago in Boston, Massachusetts. The company prides itself on improving Black neighborhoods and supporting Black-owned businesses.

They proudly sponsored the Black Lives Matter movement and will also sponsor events such as the upcoming We Buy Black convention in Atlanta, GA in November 2018.
