With prom season, it’s all about two things: the dress and the prom entrance. This young lady wanted her prom to be memorable so she sought out entertainers Floyd D. Wimberly and his partner in crime, Amber to slay her prom. Incorporating  Beyoncé’s moves from Coachella, Floyd and Amber slayed their performance.

These Beyoncé-Inspired Dancers Will Make Your Prom Entrance Viral:

These days, attending prom is all about making an entrance. Gone are the days when your family stands outside to simply photograph you and your date. Now, teens are arriving to proms in caskets, Ambulance vehicles, or announced with dancers. Chicago entertainer Floyd Wimberly and his companion, Amber, went viral again for their Beyoncé inspired prom announcements. Two years ago, Floyd and Amber performed a dance routine to Queen Bey’s song “Formation”. With black and yellow balloons to simulate a beehive, Floyd and Amber nailed Beyoncé’s choreography that had every teen wanting to be in formation. Their dance routine was so tight, you almost forgot about the dress as their performance was that good. A viral sensation, Floyd posted the video of his performance to “Formation” on Facebook and it has since been viewed over 6 million times.

Well, after Floyd and Amber’s performances went viral, they received requests to perform at other prom send offs as well. On his Instagram page, Floyd posted another prom performance where he danced to Beyoncé’s song “Diva” as well as he performed at a Sweet Sixteen party. It’s unclear if Floyd has been professionally trained, but he is graceful like an Alvin Aliey dancer. Wimberly is so talented that he often posts videos of himself alongside popular dancers as he recreates their routines. Floyd shared that he never met Michael Jackson but he was inspired by his work.

This Man will forever be my dance idol! I’ve always had high hope to be able to grace the stage with him once I made to my career, Floyd shared. But I’m grateful to have known who he was. #michaeljackson ??

With 16,000 followers on Instagram, Wimberly has developed quite a fan base. Recently, Wimberly along side another talented dancer, Amber, performed a dance routine to O.T. Genasis incorporating Queen Bey’s dance routine from Coachella. A must see video, Floyd posted the video to his page and already has generated over $35,000 views.
