Girl Scout Sells Over 300 Boxes Near Marijuana Dispensary, Now Haters Have Her In Trouble

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA — Apparently, this Girl Scout is a marketing genius already. Instead of targeting random strangers, she posted up near those with the munchies.

Like mosquitoes attracted to a bug zapper, this little girl’s customers scurried over to purchase cookies from her after seeing an Instagram post from Urbn Leaf.

The post read as follows.

“Get some Girl Scout Cookies with your GSC today until 4pm! Have a friend that wants to #tagalong? Bring them with – shopping is more fun with friends anyways.”

According to Mashable, “GSC” is a strain of weed known for its similar, sweet flavor like “Girl Scout Cookies.”


Urbn Leaf representative Savannah Rakofsky says their customers LOVED that she was available so they could readily purchase cookies.

However, not everyone is happy with the girl’s success.

Note: How’s that saying go? “Beware of those in your circle who don’t clap when you win”?

It appears that — according to Complex — the girl scout may be in trouble with the San Diego Girl Scout council.

The source mentions that they’re looking into whether she violated any rules by selling near Urbn Leaf. Reportedly, girl scouts aren’t supposed to sell at commercial establishments.

Council spokeswoman Mary Doyle made a statement to the New York Post regarding the issue.

“As Girl Scouts, we assume good intent. When we learn that a girl is in violation of a standard/guideline, we almost always discover that the parent was unaware of the rules.”

From grocery and department stores, to shopping and strip malls, girl scouts and their parents set up tables as far as the eye can see sometimes.

How is it that, NOW, this particular girl’s ethics is under review after having sold over 300 boxes in less than 6 hours? According to the source, anyway.

She’s much too young to have adult haters like this, right? Come off the BS.

That was simply good marketing and promotion. She identified the most effective demographic and basically stood in the area. They probably came to her. There was a demand, and she met it.
