Former UCLA Player Billy Knight Found Dead After Being Accused of Sexually Abusing A Child:
Former UCLA basketball player Billy Knight was found dead on a Phoenix roadway this Sunday morning. According to PEOPLE magazine, Knight was facing multiple charges for sexual abuse against a child. TMZ Sports reported that Knight was arrested back on June 13th in Phoenix, Arizona as officials say he allegedly sexually abused a child that was only 9 years old. Prosecutors in Maricopa County charged Knight with multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor, sexual abuse, and molestation of a child. TMZ obtained documents that stated that some of the abuse occurred in the victim’s home and her mother’s bed. Billy Knight Was Due Back In Court In A Few Weeks:
Before his death, Knight was aware that he was due back in court soon. In June, Knight was released on a $100,000 bond and was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device. In addition, Knight was ordered to have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family. However, Knight violated those terms as he allegedly contacted the victim’s mother and even showed up at their home. Afraid to face his demons, it appears that Knight was unable to deal with the public shame and the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison. In sex crimes that involve minors, Knight could have possibly spent 50 years in prison if he was convicted of all charges.
Knight’s cause of death is currently being determined by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner, The Phoenix Police Department told PEOPLE. It has not yet been ruled a suicide though officials do not suspect foul play. The videos created by Knight before his death appeared to be his final goodbyes before he took his own life.

Billy Knight Talked About His Demons Before Taking His Own Life:
Billy Knight, the former UCLA basketball player who allegedly committed suicide last weekend posted a video saying that he “didn’t belong here on Earth”. In the early hours of July 8th, Knight was found dead not long after he posted a video online saying his ‘time is up’. While Knight didn’t mention the molestation charges that he faced, the athletic trainer opened up about having regrets and living what he described to be a ‘life of sin’ that involved lying, cheating and stealing, even to the people that he loved the most.
I wasn’t honest with a lot of people… even my mom, my brother and my family members. I isolated myself from my family members, I isolated myself from my friends. That’s not something you should do,’ Knight said. I was a taker… and that’s why my life ended up where it is now. Life is not a game. You can’t play around with life. It’s serious. I’m lost in life, and I feel like there’s no hope, he continued. I have no friends with me here. I have no wife, girlfriend. I have nothing, and I just feel like I can’t continue on.
