NEW YORK, NEW YORK — It’s official. Don Lemon has had his total fill of Kanye “MAGA” West. According to the news anchor, Ye’s mom should be rolling over in her grave right about now.
DON DOESN’T CARE ANYMORE
So, according to Kanye, when Donald Trump looks bad, “we” look bad. Of course, this was during the same time he told the press that Trump is like a father figure and makes him feel like a “kid playing catch with his dad.”
During an interview with CNN Washington, after watching a clip of West’s embarrassing display in the Oval Office, Lemon was asked his thoughts on the matter.
“Listen, I have no animosity for Kanye West,” Don states. “I’m just gonna be honest — and I may get in a lot of trouble for it — but I actually feel bad for him. What I saw, was a minstrel show today.”
NOTE: If you didn’t know, minstrel shows were popular performances “back in the day” in American history — as well as in other countries that picked up the trend — which depicted white actors in blackface. So, with that in mind, Lemon was possibly suggesting Kanye is now an “Oreo.”
Nevertheless, Don continued as follows.
“Him, in front of all those white people — mostly white people — embarrassing himself…and embarrassing Americans, but mostly African-Americans because everyone of them is either sitting at home or with their phones, watching this…cringing.”
“I couldn’t even watch it,” Lemon further elaborated. “I had to turn the television off because it was so hard to watch — him sitting there being used by the president of the United States…exploiting him, and I don’t mean this in a disparaging way…exploiting someone who needs help, who needs to back away from the camera, who needs to get off stage, who needs to deal with his issues. And if anyone around him cares about him…they need to grab him and snatch him up, and get Kanye together.”
According to Lemon, his opinion has absolutely zero to do with being liberal or conservative.
“This has to do with honesty. And we have to stop pretending, sitting here on these CNN panels — or whatever network panels — pretending like this is ‘normal.'”
As the video goes on, Lemon alludes to Kanye’s mother and what she’d probably think of him if she was still alive.
According to Don, she’s probably “rolling over in her grave” while watching West embarrass himself in such a way.

He remembered how Common rendered a poem about Blacks being “kings and queens” during a White House visit amid the Obama administration. With that, Don asks, “Where were all the cameras and press then?”
Likewise, in another video, Lemon gives various examples of how Donald Trump continues using Kanye to deflect other pressing issues recently in headlines.
