He might have talked a good game, however it seems Conor McGregor may already be losing this battle.
Reportedly, according to former two-weight world champion boxer Jessie Vargas, McGregor has possibly already been knocked out during training for this fight. Vargas mentions the boxing world is very small, so everyone hears everything about everyone.

Yet, according to Telegraph UK, McGregor’s camp has denied the allegation he was knocked out during training. They say there’s simply no truth to the story.
However, even if that’s accurate, Forbes reports former sparring partners like Chris Van Heerden have said — along with many people who have sparred with Conor McGregor — they’ve walked away from McGregor training “less than impressed.”

Likewise, it seems that the rumored word has reached Mayweather as well. Nevertheless, Complex reports he doesn’t necessarily believe the story simply because Vargas didn’t see it with his own eyes. Mayweather mentions as follows.
“My thing basically is like this: If I ain’t seen no footage, I don’t believe it. Me and Jessie Vargas are in communication. We’re talking about working together with Mayweather promotions. I would love to work with Jessie Vargas. We’ve been communicating. But I can’t — everything is rumors until I see it. I’m the type of person, I have to visually see it with my own eyes.”
As reports the same source, Conor McGregor has not responded to the knock-out allegation. However, after the rumor broke, he did post a picture to Instagram on the similar topic.
