Ben Carson just keeps stepping in it. At this rate, he’s going to have more s**t than shoes. Social media was recently in an uproar after hearing his views on poverty.
SIRIUS XM — Conservative host Armstrong Williams brought Ben Carson onto his show to share a few words. And, apparently, those words didn’t set well with the target demographic, as well as many other understanding Americans.

Carson has the mic…
During the segment, according to New York Times, Ben tackled the issue of poverty. From alleged personal experience, Carson mentions as follows.
“I think poverty to a large extent is also a state of mind. You take somebody that has the right mind-set, you can take everything from them and put them on the street, and I guarantee in a little while they’ll be right back up there.”
That’s cool for some people.
To some extent, this is true…generally for “hustlers.” However, given most real-life poverty situations, those who aren’t willing to push drugs or risk getting arrested have to find other means of employment.
What if no one’s hiring? What if no one particularly wants to hire teens and adults from the “inner city”? What then?

Some environments and situations just aren’t conducive for Carson’s brand of optimism. Nevertheless, he continues.
“You take somebody with the wrong mind-set, you can give them everything in the world — they’ll work their way right back down to the bottom…If everybody had a mother like mine, nobody would be in poverty. She was a person who absolutely would not accept the status of victim.”
Well, there are many people who don’t allow poverty to keep them at “the bottom,” and they’ll get that guop by any means — even if that means robbing, stealing, killing, etc.
Poverty brings out the worst in people. It’s systematic and perpetual. And, coals are only added to the fire when you have people in charge who choose to ignore the reality of the situation.

Want to know something more crazy…
While Ben is doing all of this talking about a poverty state of mind — according to Trump’s “America First Budget Blueprint” — Donald’s proposed budget plans to cut in excess of $6 billion from HUD’s budget.
Ben Carson says poverty is a state of mind.

Wouldn’t this create more people in need of help? This would create more people with a “poverty state of mind,” right?
I swear, this administration is a**-backward at all times.
Anyway, we’d love to hear your thoughts about Ben’s “wisdom.” Feel free to share your comments via our Facebook page.
