Tis’ the season to be jolly! As the most wonderful time of year, Christmas is known as the season of giving. So, it comes as no surprise that Russell Westbrook is in the giving mood. But, he probably didn’t expect the heartwarming reaction he received when he met Heaven – literally. The little girl was completely blown away when she met Russell. Now, the little girl’s amazing reaction is going viral. It all started when Russell and a few of his Oklahoma Thunder teammates spent their off day at the 10th annual Holiday Assist shopping event.
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren:
Each year, the Oklahoma Thunder participates in the Holiday Assist shopping event for the local Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program. According to KFOR, the team partners with Sunbeam Family Services’ and the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program to take local kids to Target for holiday shopping sprees. This year, Russell was the holiday shopping buddy to an adorable little girl. Her reaction to his announcement is priceless! As she held back tears of joy and hugged the famed basketball star, she captured the hearts of everyone who witnessed their interaction.
