Amy Schumer Refuses Super Bowl Commercial Deal — Wonders 'Why More White Players Aren't Kneeling'

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA — Amy Schumer just pulled the bandage off those attempting to hide behind silence and acceptance. As one of the hottest acts in America, according to the actress/comedian, she’s refusing to participate in any Super Bowl deals.

SAY IT AGAIN FOR THOSE IN THE BACK!

Amy Schumer isn’t one to hold her tongue. That’s the way she’s always been — even when she felt she deserved the same as comedic greats Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock for their Netflix specials.

So…

In support of Colin Kaepernick, Schumer has taken to Instagram to rip the gauze off America’s scab.

“I wonder why more white players aren’t kneeling. Once you witness the truly deep inequality and endless racism people of color face in our country, not to mention the police brutality and murders. Why not kneel next to your brothers? Otherwise how are you not complicit?”

She continues by stating Maroon 5 should also refuse to perform for the event, just as Rihanna has done.

“I personally told my reps I wouldn’t do a Super Bowl commercial this year,” Schumer states. “I know it must sound like a privilege ass sacrifice but it’s all i got.”

NOTE: And if you don’t realize it, Super Bowl money is no joke. That’s a huge payday for actors and actresses.

“Hitting the [NFL] with the advertisers is the only way to really hurt them. I know opposing the [NFL] is like opposing the [NRA] . Very tough, but don’t you want to be proud of how you’re living?”

Amy Schumer continues in her post by demanding her following to “stand up for your brothers and sisters of color.”

“Anyone who says it’s disrespectful to our military please read up on the fact that a lot of veterans are proud of what [Kaepernick] is doing and fully support him,” Schumer further elaborates.

Friday thought. I wonder why more white players aren’t kneeling. Once you witness the truly deep inequality and endless racism people of color face in our country, not to mention the police brutality and murders. Why not kneel next to your brothers? Otherwise how are you not complicit? I think it would be cool if @maroon5 backed out of super bowl like @badgalriri Did. I personally told my reps I wouldn’t do a Super Bowl commercial this year. I know it must sound like a privilege ass sacrifice but it’s all i got. Hitting the nfl with the advertisers is the only way to really hurt them. I know opposing the nfl is like opposing the nra. Very tough, but don’t you want to be proud of how you’re living? Stand up for your brothers and sisters of color. And the hottest thing a guy can do is get down on one knee. Not to propose but to reject the treatment of his teammates by this country. Anyone who says its disrespectful to our military please read up on the fact that a lot of veterans are proud of what @kaepernick7 is doing and fully support him. What are your thoughts?

Even Sean “Diddy” Combs, someone who’s been quite active in the political space, recognized Amy’s statement and reposted her comments to his own followers.

Likewise, several other celebrities have endorsed Schumer’s message to the ignorant masses.

That’s a large sacrifice, honestly. Super Bowl money.
