ABC Ent. President Cancels ‘Roseanne’ Reboot After Actress Compares Former Obama Aide To Ape

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK — Looks like Roseanne Barr hasn’t learned to keep her mouth shut…ever. Well, now, it has cost her the show.

According to Huffington Post, ABC Entertainment has terminated its reboot of “Roseanne” after its star — Roseanne Barr — made racist comments about former Obama administration-era White House staff member Valerie Jarrett.

She made racist comments on Tuesday and lost her job almost immediately afterward.

Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, mentioned as follows.

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.”

Likewise, Robert Iger — CEO and chairman of Walt Disney Company, ABC’s parent company — addressed the cancellation by tweeting: “There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing.”

Major applause goes to ABC for this one.

NOTE: Since Trump stepped his orange-aid a** in office, people — mainly his supporters — act like they’ve lost all rationale. However, if employers start jacking up their pockets, they’ll see the light like Roseanne’s current view.

According to her last tweet, she has also opted to leave Twitter.

According to Huffington Post, Barr faced intense backlash on Tuesday, May 29. This came after she fired off a series of offensive tweets targeting Valerie Jarrett, billionaire George Soros, and Chelsea Clinton — all people of whom the Trump administration also targets.

Although she has deleted the offensive tweet, Huffington Post was able to capture what was said. The source reports as follows.

“Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.”

As aforementioned, she was referring to Valerie Jarrett, who is Black and was born in Iran to American parents.

Nevertheless, later, Roseanne apologized for “making a bad joke about her politics and her looks.” But, the damage was already done. And while she deleted the tweet about Jarrett, she left the ones aimed at Clinton and Soros.

NOTE: With class and sophistication, Jarrett declined to comment for this story.

After seeing Roseanne’s Twitter rant, comedian Wanda Sykes also said she was resigning as consulting producer for the canceled actress’ show.

Likewise, Sara Gilbert — who plays Barr’s daughter, Darlene — also called her comments “abhorrent.”

According to Gilbert, she tweeted as follows.

“Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least.”

“This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us, as we’ve created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love — one that is separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member,” Gilbert continued.

The source says that a spokesperson for ICM Partners — a talent agency — mentioned dropping Roseanne as a client on Tuesday.

“We are all greatly distressed by the disgraceful and unacceptable tweet from Roseanne Barr this morning,” ICM Partners wrote in a memo to employees.

“What she wrote is antithetical to our core values, both as individuals and as an agency. Consequently, we have notified her that we will not represent her. Effective immediately, Roseanne Barr is no longer a client.”

According to the source, a representative for Roseanne didn’t immediately respond to Huffington Post’s comment request.

Wah, wah, waaaaaaah. Roseanne was the real MVP, today! She single-handedly managed to lose her show, representation, and reputation all in the same day.

Help her, Thanos…

All in all, let’s all offer a huge congratulations to Roseanne’s self-sabotaging efforts. Big applause! Real MVP status.
