For many years, Sheree Whitfield has struggled to finish building Chateau Sheree due to financial woes. Now, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has been hit again. Yet another contractor has come forward with a lawsuit against Sheree for the incomplete home.
The Grass Isn’t Always Greener:
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Sheree Whitfield has been sued by Heritage Landscape Group of Flowery Branch. On Jan. 3, the landscape company filed a claim in Fulton County Magistrate Court accusing the reality star of failing to pay approximately $10,012.50 for completed landscape work and assistance with obtaining a certificate of occupancy for her still-incomplete home. It is unclear whether or not Sheree received the certificate since the home is still reportedly vacant, but the contractor is demanding the funds for the unpaid bill.
Beating Around the Bush?:
The contractor claims Sheree “paid less than half the bill, then said she didn’t have the money.” Then, she reportedly decided to put a different spin on things claiming she wasn’t pleased with the landscape work. But despite, her claims Heritage Landscape still wants their money for the completed work.
Sheree has been building the home for more than five years. Although she did have a housewarming celebration on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, the AJC claims the event was merely a publicity move for the show. Heritage Landscape is one of the many contractors Sheree has butted heads with during the five years she’s spent working to complete the home. Hopefully, Chateau Sheree is complete in the near future.
